Our trip to England was amazing because we saw many different places to collect new experiences. Our host families were very friendly and Folkestone is a nice and pretty town by the sea. The beach was really beautiful and we took lots of pictures – there were even some squirrels.
Especially the trip to London was a highlight. We liked Oxford Street with its many shops and stores like Build-A-Bear. We visited some famous sights like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. Also, we were allowed to go shopping in little groups.
We also liked Canterbury since it was a nice place. We had a guided tour there and learned some interesting facts about the history of the town. The walk near the white cliffs was a bit exhausting but in the end it was okay.
During our week we stayed with host families. At first some of us were a little bit nervous about this because it was a completely new experience but it turned out to be great! It was interesting to see how people live in another country and to speak English in everyday situations. The food was not always our favourite but that is also part of the experience and made the trip more authentic.
Overall, we are very grateful that we could be part of this trip. We made great memories and had a lot of fun with our friends.
